Picture this:
You’re on a date with your significant other.
No one else, just the two of you.
The two of you enjoying the togetherness, romantic conversation, and the general ambiance of such a lovely evening.
After dinner, both of you go home and relax in front of the TV wrapped in each other’s arms.
Suddenly, it hits…
You start to feel the pain of the heartburn you knew was coming.
But this time, something’s different…
You begin to feel the sourness and burning sensation rising to your throat.
Now, you realize it’s not just a simple case of heartburn, it’s acid reflux.
Without warning, your beautiful evening turns sour quicker than rotten milk.
For those of you who have been in this predicament, (guilty as charged) read on to discover the natural ways you can get rid of the nasty, stinging pest that is acid reflux.
NATURAL WAYS AGAINST ACID REFLUX
Below are just some of the ways you can handle acid reflux at home.
- Watch what you eat: An old saying comes to mind: DON’T LET YOUR MOUTH SEND A CHECK, THAT YOUR BODY CAN’T CASH. The same can be said about dietary health. If you drink caffeine like tea or coffee with your meal, eat spicy, fried, or acidic foods, don’t be surprised when acid reflux walks through the door you just opened.
- Peaceful and Appreciative eating: Don’t eat in a rush. The food isn’t going anywhere. My mother used to tell me these things all the time. Take the time to gaze at your plate. Smell all the different aromas from the foods present before you. Notice how each bite rolls around inside your mouth and gently makes its way down the esophagus.
- Respect the process: After you eat, allow time for the body to digest it. Going to bed shortly after you eat will give you painful and acidic consequences (talking about acid reflux).
- Gravity favors the elevated: When you do sleep, keep your head elevated so the acids that creep from your stomach to your throat don’t make it that far.
These are just four of many other ways to naturally defeat the bothersome acid reflux.
And this ends my tips on naturally dealing with your acid reflux.
